Duties/Responsibilities:

1. Prepare dough for pies, bread, rolls, and sweet goods, as well as batters for muffins, cookies, and cakes, and create icings and frostings according to recipes or special customer orders.

2. Bake mixed doughs and batters to produce a variety of baked goods, ensuring that all products are baked to perfection and adhere to Hitotoki Bakery’s quality standards.

3. Frost and decorate cakes and other baked goods to enhance their appearance and appeal.

4. Enforce health and safety regulations and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

5. Draw up production schedules to determine the type and quantity of goods to produce daily or weekly, and adjust them based on customer demand and special orders.

6. Purchase baking supplies and ingredients to ensure that stock levels are maintained, and manage inventory to minimize waste and ensure the freshness of ingredients.

7. Participate in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting qualified bakery staff.

8. Assign tasks, monitor workflow, and adjust schedules to maintain efficiency.

9. Oversee the sales and merchandising of baked goods, ensuring that displays are attractive and well-stocked, and work with the front-of-house staff to promote and sell baked products.
