• Salary: $36.10 hourly for 40 hours per week

Job Requirements
Languages: English
Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
On-the-job training is provided
Class 5 or higher driver’s license
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
Specific skills
- Operate and drive primarily straight trucks under 4500kg to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes
- Able to drive manual transmission vehicles
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections and oversee all aspects of the vehicle such as the condition of equipment, and loading and unloading of cargo
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Ensure cargo is secured properly per safety requirements
- May perform emergency roadside repairs
- Plan trip logistics and obtain required documentation to transport goods
- Knowledge of business equipment and Computer Applications: Spreadsheet; MS Windows; MS Word; Electronic mail;
Security and Safety: Criminal record check; Clean drivers abstract with no demerits
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Attention to detail, ability to lift loads of 50+LBS
Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills; Good physical health; Flexibility; Reliability; Organized; Ability to work evenings and weekends as required.
