Home Child Care Provider

Hours: 40 hours per week

Employment type: full time

Work Location: 1526 Angus Drive, Vancouver BC V6J 4H3

We are looking for a home child care provider for our 4-yr old and 13-yr old children.

Key Responsibilities:

·           Oversee my children’s activities and maintain a safe and healthy environment;

·           Prepare nutritious meal and snacks for children;

·           Bathe and dress my younger child;

·           Take younger child for walks;

·           Engage the children in fun learning activities such as reading, drawing, crafting, read story books for younger child;

·           Play with my younger child with different educational toys;

·           Oversee the well-being of the children and ensure they are aware of their physical and emotional needs including instructing them on personal hygiene and social development;

·           Make sure older children complete her homework before other activities begin;

·           Keep records and communicate with parents about children’s performance, daily activities, health information regarding the children and any other problems;

·           Do some light housekeeping as required;

·           Perform other child care duties as required.

Job Requirements:

·           Secondary education;

·           At least 1 year of experience looking after children;

·           Able to cook;

·           Organized and reliable;

·           Excellent personal hygiene;

·           Have a strong sense of responsibility;

·           Childcare related certificate is an asset;

·           Criminal record check and reference may be required;
