Salary: $17.00 an hour
G.L.G.W Restaurant Ltd. DBA. JIE DAO BAN is located in Richmond Public Market food court in Richmond, BC. We offer a convenient experience and are committed to providing Chinese cuisine with exceptional quality and taste. We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Cook to join our team. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a role in supporting the kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of quality food to our customers.
Your responsibilities:
· Assist the Head Cook with food preparation and cooking of menu items
· Perform cleaning duties such as washing dishes, wiping counters and cleaning kitchen areas
· Prepare and mix sauces as per Head Cook’s instructions
· Receive and store food items according to safety and sanitation guidelines
· Monitor food temperatures and quality throughout the cooking process
· Plate meals according to recipes and presentation standards
· Ensure kitchen is properly stocked with necessary items
· Perform other duties as required
Job Requirements:
· Completion of secondary school.
· Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferred.
· Cooking certificate is an asset.
· Food Safe Certificate is a must
· Knowledge of Chinese cuisine is preferred.
· Able to work in fast-paced environment and multitask
· Knowledge of kitchen equipment and tools.
· Able to life up to 50 pounds
· Flexibility to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
· Excellent teamwork skills.
· Positive attitude, reliability, and a passion for delivering exceptional food to customers.
