Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Support early childhood educators in carrying out child-care responsibilities and documenting children's eating, sleeping, and toilet routines
· Conduct frequent cleaning and maintain a healthy, safe, and organized physical environment
· Assist the early childhood educators in implementing lesson plans, preparing craft materials, setting up the learning environment, etc.
· Coordinate and assist in daily classroom activities such as reading stories, teaching songs, circle time, outside play, clean-up, free play time, etc.
· Support early childhood educators in developing a welcoming, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment promoting the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children
· Arrange rooms and furniture for different using purposes during the day
· Create regular classroom reports and discuss any emerging issues among the children with the principal or supervisor
· Assist in developing midterm and annual child reports, prepare and attend parent-teacher meetings
· Attend professional development sessions and other staff training programs
Skills & Qualifications:
· Completion of secondary school
· Having a BC ECEA certificate
· Can Legally work in Canada
· Experience in a Childcare is an asset
· Be able to work early morning shift (7am) or flexible hours is plus
· Valid first-Aid/CPR certificate or willing to acquire one before starting employment
· Willing to go through a criminal Record check, a medical exam and references check
· Strong understanding of child development and behaviour
· Be patient and detail-oriented

Kiwi Childcare Centre was founded 2012. It is a Licensed Group Infant/Toddler Daycare. We provide a variety of learning experiences in all areas of development. We educate children by encouraging their interests, as well as their cognitive, social, and physical abilities. We provide Montessori program for children. We want our children to learn through doing things themselves and provide them with an endless amount of enthusiasm as well as tools to explore with. We also provide professional music and fine arts programs.
Currently, we are seeking an Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) to assist or independently guide and care for children in both classroom activities and outdoor activities.
