Personal Support Worker- Nursing Care

Responsibilities and Duties:
The Personal Support Worker (PSW) is responsible for providing personal care, hygiene and assistance with activities of daily living for clients in the community.

Experience:
Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional personal care and customer service.

Physical capabilities: Able to stand, bend, walk, crouch, kneel and reach freely and for extended periods; able to lift 23 kilograms independently; able to assist Clients with standing, walking, sitting; able to reposition Clients in bed.

Qualifications and Skills:
Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate / Diploma or Development Service Worker
Practical or BScN Nursing Students who are actively working towards their Year 1 , 2, 3 or 4 Nursing license are encouraged to apply.

Reference
Valid First Aid/CPR Certificate
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written required
Available for all shifts.
Knowledge of Body Systems and physical health conditions
Knowledge of Common Cognitive Problems and Mental Health
Proper techniques in assisting elderly with personal hygiene

Safely operate mobility devices

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent (Full-time is 30 hours/week and part-time is 16-29 hours/week)
