BUILDING MAINTENENCE WORKER

Buttar & Sons Inc. O/A Comfort Inn. St. Catharines is looking for the position of Building Maintenance worker for their location at 2 Dunlop Drive, St. Catharines ON L2R 1A2

Job Title: Building Maintenance worker

Nature of Employment: Permanent Full Time Position

Salary: $ 20.25 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends

Job duties:

• Identify and fix minor problems persisting in heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing and electrical systems
• Report major repairs to the tradesperson
• Carry out recurring maintenance jobs that includes painting and dry-wall repairing
• Keep track of supplies and make any specific purchase that is necessary
• Required to attend minor repairs
• Conduct daily checks of the building systems
• Offer general support to professional tradespeople including plumbers, carpenters, electricians, and mechanics
• Verify that the facility has security and safety procedures in place
• May be required to transport heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
• May supervise other staff

Language: English

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
