Executive Chef

Karma Kameleon Gastropub is located in Thorold, Ontario offering world class food for dine in and take out. The restaurant is located at 1 Front Street North, Thorold, Ontario L2V 1X3. The restaurant has been operating under this name since July 2016.

The restaurant is seeking to hire an Executive Chef that has experience with American cuisine, Mexican cuisine and smoking pig roasts. This is a full time permanent position for 40 hours per week at a wage rate of $20 per hour. Post secondary graduate of culinary program is required as well as 3-5 years experience.

Job duties are described below:

• Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities
• Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
• Estimate food requirements and may estimate food and labour costs
• Supervise activities of sous-chefs, specialist chefs, chefs and cooks
• Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
• May prepare and cook food on a regular basis, or for special guests or functions.
