Job Title: Local Transport Truck Driver
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full Time Position
Salary: $26.50 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
Job duties:
• Operate and drive primarily straight trucks to transport goods and materials mainly on local routes and short interurban routes.
• Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle such as the condition of equipment,loading and unloading of cargo, receive and relay information to central dispatch.
• May drive special purpose trucks, transport and handle dangerous goods and perform emergency roadside repairs.

Education: Secondary (High) School Graduation Certificate
Experience: No Experience
