JH OVERSEAS LTD is looking for the position of Accounting Bookkeeper for their location at 1022 Queen Street, Toronto, ON M6J 1H6
Job Title: Accounting Bookkeeper
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full Time Position
Salary: $ 24.25 per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
Job duties:
- Enter data, maintain records, create reports and account financial statements using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
- Track and verify transactions recorded in the general ledgers and prepare related financial statements.
- Perform partial checks of the posting of journal entries and reconcile accounts.
- Bring the books to the trial balance stage.
- Process accounts receivable/payable, handle and prepare cheques for payrolls as well as for utility, tax and other bills in a timely manner.
- Calculate and prepare tax remittance forms, tax payments, workers compensations forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents.
- Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services.
- Record and prepare day to day statistical, financial and accounting transactions.

Education: COLLEGE/CEGEP
Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
