Restaurant Manager

The Epicurean restaurant is located at 84 Queen Street, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario L0S 1J0. In April 2016, new ownership and a new staff embarked on the reopening of “The Epicurean”. The restaurant is renovated with a contemporary look and a new concept which includes serving breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Our restaurant is dedicated to providing our clientele great seasonal foods and phenomenal local wines from Niagara’s region.  Our cuisine is mainly Mediterranean based on fresh food locally produced and cooked by a very talented culinary team. It has a warm ambiance and our goal is to meet all your dining needs.

The restaurant is seeking to hire a restaurant manager to add to our talented team. This is a full time, permanent position for 35-55 hours per week. $60,000 annual salary.  Related post-secondary education is required. Minimum 3-5 years experience is required.

Job duties are described below:

• Must work in a team setting

• Drive sales

• Responsible for scheduling a busy seasonal restaurant

• Must show leadership skills and build the team's vision for an unparalleled dining experience for our customers

• You must have previous restaurant management experience and must work well with owners

• Knowledge and experience in training, serving, Bar, Reservations, all FOH etiquette, proper communication with staff, customers and BOH

• Performing opening and closing duties of the restaurant

• Ensuring completion of daily checks

• Interacting with guests to ensure guest experience is satisfactory

• Monitoring every form of service that is being rendered to guest within the steps of service

• Addressing all guest issues, and satisfaction with guests always

• Assist with recruiting and training new staff
