Job Title: Graphic Designer
Nature of Employment: Permanent Full Time Position
Salary: $26.50 CAD per hour for 37.5 hours/week. Overtime pay at 1.5 times regular rate of pay after 44 hours. May be required to work some weekends
Job duties:
- Meet with the clients to identify their requirements such as illustrations, pictures and designs to reflect the desired theme and tone of communications.
- Plan concept or best suited medium by studying the gathered information to produce the required visual effects.
- Evolve the graphic elements that meet the customers objectives.
- Create the rough layouts and designs of the theme to be accomplished using various multimedia and image processing software like Photoshop, illustrator, InDesign etc.
- Determine the timeline and cost needed to complete the graphic design.
- Capable to instruct illustrators to produce images to meet the Client’s requirements.
- Prepare recommendations for illustrator or Photographers.
- Synchronize all productions requirements for Print such as brochures, business cards, advertisements, signs along with websites, Company Logos, Web pages and other communication materials.
- Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed as well as oversee other graphic designs.
