Employment Requirements
Employment requirements are prerequisites generally needed to enter an occupation.
  • Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years or equivalent experience OR Completion of a college or other program related to hospitality or food and beverage service management is usually required.
  • Responsible beverage service certification is usually required for managers of establishments serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years in the food service sector, including supervisory experience, are required.
