Essential Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Greet customers as they approach the line;
  • Oversee and assist in preparation of food items, setting up, and breaking down of stations designated by the manager;
  • Responsible for use of correct portions when preparing and serving items;
  • Maintain daily temperature logs;
  • Alert management and pull food items that do not meet quality expectations;
  • Ask customers about the quality of their service and handle any complaints (with assistance from the manager on duty) while maintaining a positive attitude and smile;
  • Oversee and assist in maintaining a clean work station (including floors, work areas, equipment, walls, refrigerators, etc.);
  • Ensures that all work areas and serving utensils are cleaned and sanitized;
  • Responsible for proper disposal of waste;
  • Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas by hand or by cart

 

Specific Skills

  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food, Estimate and order ingredients and supplies, Ensure food service and quality control, Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales and wastage, Prepare and submit reports, Supervise and check assembly of trays, Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, Establish work schedules, Establish methods to meet work schedules, Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, Address customers' complaints or concerns

 

Additional Job Functions:

  • Cross-train in areas as required by your manager
  • Perform task as requested by your manager
  • Completion of any task requested by the manager;

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Oversee and direct the employees working on the line to ensure timely and effective service of the customers. Request support from utility workers for sanitation issues of the line as needed.
